General
Centraal in het stedenbouwkundig ontwerp staat een relatief ruime binnenplaats (de VOC-cour) met daaromheen een compositie van torens (van ongeveer 40 meter hoog), wanden (van ongeveer 22 meter hoog) en poorten (van ongeveer 10 meter hoog). De compositie is zo dat alle woningen optimaal wooncomfort hebben. Zonlicht dringt diep in de hof binnen. Windhinder wordt bestreden door de plaatsing van de gebouwen ten opzichte van elkaar en ten opzichte van de belendende blokken.
