Markthal Apeldoorn
Description
West8 has designed a market hall for the municipality of Apeldoorn. The market hall is located on the market square in front of the Apeldoorn town hall. There is a parking garage under the market square. The columns of the market hall are aligned with the columns in the parking garage below.
The market hall consists of a roof construction made of wooden trusses and wooden columns. The wooden columns are placed on a concrete or hard stone base.
The Markthal in Apeldoorn is winner of the Construsoft BIM Award 2024 in the sports and recreation category.
Adviesbureau Lüning fulfills the role of main structural engineer for this project.
