PlayDome
Description
A non-covered geodesic dome in the shape of a half sphere forms the enclosure of a spacial laby- rinth of playground equipment. The dome is made of Azobé and has a diameter of 25 meters. Attached to the dome are several nets tunnels, rope ladders, slides and Tarzan ropes. Giving the clambering an extra dimension.
Adviesbureau Lüning
The principal design and main calculations of the dome were created by Lüning Consulting Engineers, as well as the detail- led design. Besides engineering Lüning also supplied the complete timber structure, including the steel connectors. Other PlayDomes have been completed in Mol (B), Amersfoort en Opende (NL).
