The City Garden

On behalf of Yisheng Investment Group, a Chinese development and investment firm, designs were drafted for a large-scale, multifunctional building in the centre of Amstelveen. The City Garden will be a combination of luxury apartments, a 140-room four-star hotel, shops, social amenities and an underground parking garage. The building lot borders the Amstelveen Stadstuinen (the city’s public gardens) and the Stadshart shopping centre; it is the final large lot available for new construction in this area. Yet the City Garden will be more than just a pretty building. Its design has been based on the principles of Feng Shui, an ancient discipline involving the relationship between human beings and their surroundings.
