Supervisie Zuidelijke IJ-oevers
De gemeente Amsterdam wil met de ontwikkeling van de Zuidelijke IJ-oevers een hoogwaardig woon- en werkgebied creëren als uitbreiding en versterking van het historische hart van de stad. Kees Rijnboutt is sinds 1999 supervisor van de Zuidelijke IJ-oevers. Langs het IJ is een nieuw stedelijk leefmilieu ontstaan dat gekenmerkt wordt door hoge bebouwingsdichtheden en een grote mate van functiemenging. De ontwikkeling van de Zuidelijke IJ-oevers en de transformatie van het stationseiland is het sluitstuk van de terugkeer van de stad naar het IJ.
