General
Slingehof is een centrum voor ontmoeting en afscheid. Het is gebouwd op de fundamenten van het uitvaartcentrum dat er sinds de jaren zestig stond. Dit uitvaartcentrum aan de Overstesingel in Drachten is ooit opgericht door De Laatste Eer Drachten.
Het centrum ligt midden in de wijk, maar heeft uitzicht op weelderig groen en een begraafplaats. Het in glas, warm hout en stijlvol staal opgetrokken centrum is ontworpen door WAA.
