GENOMINEERD VOOR DE ABE BONNEMAPRIJS 2022

De Kunstwerf is het onderkomen van vier verschillende dans- en theatergezelschappen, gelegen in een voormalig industriegebied, net buiten het historische centrum van Groningen. Het gebouw - ontworpen door Studio Donna van Milligen Bielke - bevat een verzameling van repetitieruimtes, kleedkamers en kantoren voor elk gezelschap. De nieuwbouw vormt samen met de omliggende monumenten een serie aan elkaar geschakelde binnentuinen. Deze hortus conclusus is met poorten en arcades verbonden aan het stedelijke weefsel van Groningen, de plek waar theater en stad elkaar ontmoeten.
