Deze toplocatie is nooit uitgegroeid tot wat de bedoeling was. Het had een concentratiepunt van verkeer, commercie en vermaak moeten zijn in een strak geordende structuur. De stads-as binnen het complex anticipeerde bij oplevering op een toekomstig poortgebouw aan de noordzijde. Deze poort naar Woensel is er echter nooit gekomen.
Glanzend materiaalgebruik en detaillering leveren een perfecte, maar ook wat 'verstijfde' omgeving op.
