Herman De Groot Ingenieurs begeleidt Genmab in het gehele ontwikkelingsproces van het casco met de ontwikkelaar en ontwerpt en begeleidt de complete inrichting van de nieuwe onderzoeksfaciliteit op de Uithof te Utrecht”. De faciliteit bestaat uit hoogwaardige laboratoria (MLI en MLII), kantoren en voorzieningen als een science-café, plaza met bedrijfsrestaurant, auditorium en sportfaciliteit.
Het ontwerp en de begeleiding van HermanDeGroot in de inrichting bestaat voor de laboratoria en kantoren uit alle technologie, zoals klimaat, medische gassen, drink-, proces- en demiwatervoorzieningen, afvalwaterstromen, elektravoorzieningen, beveiligingssystemen, etcetera. Verder heeft HermanDeGroot begeleidt in de vaste inrichting, zoals labmeubilair met technische voorzieningen, sluisvoorzieningen, zuur- en flowkasten, koel- en vriesopslagsystemen, noodstroomvoorziening (NSA) en dergelijke.
De faciliteit wordt gerealiseerd met de ambitie BREEAM “Excellent”. HermanDeGroot begeleidt Genmab in het gehele BREEAM-traject en coördineert in de benodigde credits van het inbouw pakket voor het ontwerpcertificaat en oplevercertificaat (Expert-rol).
De ontwikkeling van de onderzoeksfaciliteit heeft plaats gevonden in 2015 en de bouw is in 2016/2017. De faciliteit wordt door Genmab in 2018 in gebruik genomen.
