Aan de zuidzijde van de Vesaliuslaan werden in de jaren vijftig en zestig vrijstaande villa's gebouwd op grote percelen, grenzend aan het achterliggende landgoed Eikenburg. Vijftig jaar later was de houdbaarheidsdatum van sommige woningen verstreken en nieuwe eigenaren besloten tot sloop en nieuwbouw.
In 2002 ontwierp Rein van Wylick deze villa.
