Schlossklinik Heiligenhoven
Description
Heiligenhoven Castle, until recently a museum, is to become a clinic for patients suffering from burn-out. The mansion and historic outer fort are being renovated for that purpose; the non-historical part of the complex will be demolished. In its place, a new section will be added. At three stories high, the new building will deliberately be kept a good deal lower than the existing building. With a floor area of 1,500 m2, rounded forms and plenty of glass, it will be a light building that will fit naturally within the landscape. The patient rooms, therapy rooms, swimming pool and restaurant will be housed in the new building. The administration and other amenities will be accommodated in the existing buildings
